Our Team
Thomas Ascough is a composer and sound designer specializing in
Neo-Classical Fantasy music for film, TV, video games, and animation.
His music has been featured in numerous productions worldwide,
including recent placements on Gordon Ramsay and Motorway Cops:
Catching Britain.
Thomas studied Music Production at Full Sail
University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with
honors. He later earned a Master of Fine Arts in Scoring and
Composition, focusing on music implementation for video games. Thomas
worked as a studio technician at a pop music studio for several years
before moving fully into music for visual media.
Today, he
continues to write for the Emmy award-winning music library
Crimesonics while teaching music and recording arts at Fusion Academy.
Julian Ranieri is a producer and audio engineer from the Bay
Area. He studied audio production at community college with professors
from Fantasy Studios (Berkeley, CA). After spending several years
producing bands and musicians privately in his home studio, he worked
as an audio technician at the Academy of Art University (San
Francisco, CA).
Julian also studied North Indian classical music on sitar under Tim
White, a student of Ali Akbar Khan. Now, he works alongside fellow
colleagues who share a passion for retro outboard analog equipment at
a residential Bay Area studio, "Studio Carquinez". Recently, Julian
transitioned into software, developing a simple Digital Audio
Workstation (DAW) called "Tape Sim". His vision is to maintain the
beauty of old school production approach with the efficiency of modern
technology.
